I am a quilter, sometimes designer, teacher and lecturer. After completing my 6-year term on the Board of Directors of The Quilters Hall of Fame I now serve as Exhibits Co-Chair for the Historic Marie Webster House home of The Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana. I love my work as a freelance technical editor, pattern tester and sample maker for several companies and designers including Benartex Fabrics, RJR Fabrics, Windham Fabrics, Free Spirit Fabrics and Quiltsmart.

My Grandmother and Great Aunt were quilters for hire in northeastern Kentucky and I try to follow in their footsteps. Quilts were always in our lives and I was taught to sew before I was 7 because I had long legs and could reach the foot pedal! My Mother and I were always sewers and quilters but took a class in 1978 at the Anderson Area Vocational School that was being taught by Kathleen McClary, Curator of Social History at the Indiana State Museum. (she has since retired) We completed two semesters of classes at a cost of $20. Our final consisted of making a hand pieced and hand quilted quilt after which we were presented a diploma. I still have mine and my mother's as I lost Mother 34 years ago. My home is in Anderson, Indiana with Tom, my husband of 46 years. We have four lovely daughters and their husbands along with two lively grandsons, two precious granddaughters and two darling great-grandchildren.
